On Saturday, March 29, the Lo Podall Association organized a Dig Day open to all members. The aim of the event was to showcase the association\u2019s work, encourage a collaborative spirit in the improvement and maintenance of trails, and involve young people under the motto \u201cNo dig, no ride.\u201d <\/p>

The day saw the participation of 14 people of all ages, from sixteen to over fifty. The final section of the Valkyries trail was chosen to carry out maintenance work on a particularly eroded stretch. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Early in the morning, a detailed explanation was given of the sections to be reviewed, highlighting the maintenance philosophy: building up the berms to keep the water out and the rider in, and preventing erosion by creating drainage channels in steeper areas.<\/p>

After the briefing, participants were divided into different groups, supervised by members of the association, and got to work. Mid-morning, there was a break to recharge with fruit, pastries, and apple juice, kindly provided by Frikys Go Home<\/a>. The collaboration and work atmosphere were excellent, and thanks to the great energy, participants even took the initiative to repair other parts of the trail. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The event concluded with a lunch at the Sant Sebasti\u00e0 hermitage, where attendees enjoyed grilled meat from Casa Badia<\/a> and craft beer, courtesy of Frikys Go Home<\/a>. Special event t-shirts featuring an exclusive design by Otzzi <\/a>were also handed out. <\/p>\n
