This area features remote trails crossing the ranges of Gurp and Castellet. They often follow old, little-used paths, with rough terrain and minimal maintenance, where you’ll find loose rocks, thorny bushes, and tight technical turns that may force you to dab a foot. DDespite the effort, these rides are absolutely worth it: they deliver stunning landscapes, unique viewpoints, and charming villages like Gurp, Rivert, or Santa Engràcia.
Most of these trails are rocky, well-draining, and located on high ground, making them ideal on foggy days. The Barranc dels Lleons, however, runs through clay terrain and is best avoided in rainy weather, heavy cold, or damp fog, since mud or river surges can make it tricky to ride.
Some of the wildest trails include Moretó, Corrals de Gurp, Serrat de les Coves, the Old Path to Santa Engràcia, and the Barranc dels Lleons (Lions’ Canyon).
